A journey to Java Island is very varied. Java is the main island of the archipelago. Here lies the seat of government and the heart of the economy and culture. Java is also the most densely populated island. You will not only feel fast. It is four times larger than the Netherlands and employs more than 100 million inhabitants.
The Indonesian capital Jakarta, is Java. Almost the entire island is cultivated. Outside the big cities you have the idea that it is a big village. You drive from one village often almost unnoticed in the other village. The villages you imagine as a sort of ribbon villages, you see the vegetable gardens, rice fields (rice fields), rivers and mountains between the houses. It's so country! A journey of Java is partly a volcano trip: traveling from one volcano to another. And where are volcanoes, there is fertile (and on the slopes of the volcanoes it is cooler).
West Java is characterized by the tea gardens in the west, the colorful people (it likes colors: a flower in her hair, colorful clothes). Central Java cities is dominated by the Sultan Jogjakarta and Solo City (Surakarta), the Borobudur temple and Prambanan temple. East Java has many plantations, such as tobacco, coffee, cocoa and pepper plantations. A trip across Java is a journey full of encounters with nice people, so you feel very welcome, a journey through a changing landscape area of rice paddies, vegetable fields, mountains, rivers, beaches.
